At Cwmdâr Primary our vision is to create a happy, safe and inclusive environment where children are valued and engaged to learn. We strive so that all children enjoy their learning and are challenged and supported by our warm and friendly team. We celebrate the achievements, talents, skills and uniqueness of our learners – we believe it is important for our children to be happy to be themselves. We guide and nurture them to become confident, independent and capable learners.
Our dedicated team are committed to providing a meaningful and stimulating curriculum with authentic and engaging learning experiences to meet the needs of all pupils. Teaching and Learning is of a high standard and aims to provide children with the skills that they need now and in the future. It encourages their ability to be resourceful, reflective and resilient, helping them to adapt and problem-solve as they grow in an ever-changing world.
At Cwmdâr Primary School we feel it is vital that all parents/ guardians/carers feel welcome and well informed about the school. There is a shared responsibility, trust and understanding about our impact on their children’s learning. We encourage and shape our children to be healthy individuals and good citizens of the community and the world around us. As a school, we are so proud of the locality to which we belong and embrace learning about their local heritage and their sense of place through their study of ‘Cynefin'.
We strive together to develop happy, safe and healthy children who will lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society. We are a reflective school and work hard, through strong leadership, to continually evolve and grow and to be our ‘best together’.
