Digital Leaders

A Digital Leader is a pupil who is part of a Digital Leaders Team within a school, whose role it is to support the use and to further the development of ICT in school. Our Digital Leaders are led by Miss Morgan in Cwmdar Primary School. Four digital leaders presented to our governors in a full Governing Body meeting in the Spring Term. They told the governors all about their role and about the exciting work the digital leaders have been doing through the school. They also demonstrated ‘STOP CLOSE TELL’, the quick and easy way they teach all children to stay safe online.

Digital Leaders Targets

Autumn Term

• Audit apps and desktops to remove any programs no longer used/needed
• Lead assembly on Internet Safety
• Work with other classes to train pupils in newly introduced apps/programs; this term focus on Adobe Express using online sessions - link with Eco Council for Recycling Week

Spring and Summer targets

• To ensure unused apps are deleted from class I Pads
• To promote Internet Safety around the school. Design posters to encourage STOP CLOSE TELL. Best posters displayed around the community.
• To improve provision for CODING. Focus upon microbits. Digital team to train other classes.
